Nights Out! (Lobang AKA Weiliang)

Ok. All the ABTM crew are playing their characters in this oneshot so yeah. And I don’t THINK you get Nights Out in BMT... Cuz well, you’re in the middle of Tekong so yep. But imagine if there was.....

P.S. ~~~~~ah= your name ^_^
P.P.S. ********ah= your best friend’s name

“~~~~~ah! Are you done?” your best friend, **********ah , hollered at you.

It was ********ah’s boyfriend, Shawn’s, nights out. Shawn was serving NS in Ninja Company and this was the company’s first nights out.

She was understandably impatient as you were taking a long time. You wanted to look good when meeting the army boys. ********ah had long prepared, dressing nicely in a studded-collar dress shirt, a brown and orange checked skirt and a pair of Converse. Her hair was half-tied and wavy and she didn’t put on any make-up. You had a dark green tank top with a neon green half-jacket on as well as jeans and black converses.

‘BANG! BANG! BANG!’

********ah had taken to banging on your door now. You flung it open and laughed. ********ah gave you a small glare before pulling you out and yanking you through the front door, grabbing both of your bags in the process.

Both of you giggled as you walked to the MRT station. You’d planned to take the MRT then the bus. Throughout the journey, y’all talked and laughed, drawing a lot of attention. After what seemed like forever, you reached the station where the platoon was supposed to arrive.

“How do I look? Is my hair alright?” ********ah started fretting.

You assured her that she looked fine just as the bus drew up.

The first to come running down the steps was a bespectacled, nerdy-looking boy. All the boys slowly began to file out.

“Babe!” A familiar voice called out.

Both of you swung around to see Shawn waving like mad at the two of you.

“Shawn!” ********ah exclaimed, running up and locking him in an embrace.

You grinned and hovered around them awkwardly.

“Wahseh Shawn! Never expect you to have two girlfriends siol! Power!” Some dude shouted.

His lips were thick and his eyes were droopy. You saw something cute in his facial features. Something rather attractive.

“F*ck you lah Lobang! She isn’t my girl!” *gestures at ********ah* “This is my baby girl!”

********ah beamed, proud that Shawn recognised her as so. You grinned at Lobang. Soon a group of guys surrounded ********ah.

“Wahliao... Eh. Your gf damn pretty. If you don’t want her give me!”

“Oi! You karang guni issit?”
“Eh Ismail! True what...”

“No! Her friend is prettier!” The guy with the thick lips laughed.

You blushed and looked to the left where the bus was, so your hair would cover your blush.

A certain soldier was taking his time in getting out of the bus. You sucked in your breath when you saw his face. Sharp chin, slanted cheekbones, a hidden smirk... Your eyes gawked. You did a double take. He was what you’d call FIT.

“~~~~~ah... ~~~~~ah? ~~~~~AH! DAMN GIRL.” ********ah was waving her hands in front of your face. “You spaced out!”

“Hey Guys! Look! SGT really made it sia!”

All of you turned to find the platoon sergeant standing there with a grin on his face.

“EH GUYS! QUICK. MUST GREET SGT! LATER GO BACK TEKONG WE DROP 100 SIOL!” Ismail yelled from behind.

“GOOD EVENING SERGEANT ONG!”

“Good Evening soldiers! Relax. I am here, for the food. Not to make you all drop 20. But Ismail! If you want, go back camp you can drop for me!”

“No sgt!” Ismail whined.

Sergeant eh? Hm... The platoon was starting to move off. One of the recruits had invited everyone to a chalet his parents had booked. You and ********ah weren’t the only girls. Some of the guys were proudly showing off their girlfriends. But what made both of you catch the most attention was the fact that the other girls looked as if they had spent hours doing themselves up. But you and ********ah looked as if you had only taken 15 minutes to throw on an outfit, apply some light makeup and still look effortlessly fabulous.

The bunch of you went to the chalet. When you reached, the smell of barbecue was floating through the air. The sea waves crashed against the shores nearby. After ditching their stuff in the closet room, the guys immediately fell on the food. You looked at *********ah who rolled her eyes at the guys. You both giggled. Boys will be Boys! XD

All of you laughed and continued chatting and eating. You made friends with some of the girls and all of you sat together, chatting and eating.

“Eh guys! Let me intro you all to my girl!” The boys’ sergeant suddenly called out, walking towards the group with his arm around a very beautiful girl.

“Hi!” She smiled.

“Wah. Sgt how you get gf so pretty. Eh sgt! Give tips!”

“Sgt! Real gf or your sister?”

“Sgt! You pay her come is it?”

There was a loud roar of noise.

“If your don’t stop teasing my girl, I make you all drop 50 for me now!” Sergeant Ong laughed.

“SORRY SGT!” The boys chorused.
‘Shit. He has a girlfriend... Of course...’ You thought silently.

You got up from the seat and said you were going to take a walk. Grabbing a can of Mountain Dew from the cooler, you strolled down the path and towards the shore. You climbed up the water break and sat down. The sunset was almost over. You heard a crack behind you. Spinning around, you saw Lobang climbing up the water break.
“Oh hey! Lobang right?” You said. “Need a hand?”

“Nope. Haha Sokay!” He grinned, hoisting himself up.

Both of you sat next to each other and watch the sky turn into a dark blue.

“I wish I could see the stars. There are too many lights here... I want to see the salt-on-seaweed kind of night sky... You know what I mean?” You said, turning to Lobang.

“Wha..?” He asked, dazed.

You laughed and shook your head. Lobang rolled his eyes and laughed too. You chatted together for a while. Both of you seemed to click together. You liked his sense of creativity and ideas. Not to mention his blurriness to what you said sometimes. You thought it sounded cute.

“So... I know we just met but... Mind being my gf?” Lobang suddenly said.

“WHAT?” You laughed.

You saw his face.

“Ok~” You replied, throwing your arms around his neck.

He laughed and hugged you back. Soon, you felt something warm and soft on your cheek. Teasingly, you turned your head until both your lips met.

“WAH LOBANG. WE WERE WONDERING WHERE YOU WERE. IN THE END YOU WERE MAKING OUT WITH SHAWN’S GIRLFRIEND’S FRIEND. HAHAHA! KAY. LEAVE Y’ALL ALONE. BYE!” One of the army boys suddenly yelled.

“F*CK YOU IP MAN.” Lobang yelled.

You laughed and shook your head. Both of you got up and went for a walk along the shores, with Lobang’s arm around your shoulders. When you got back, there was a chorus of wolf-whistles from the guys and a squeal from the girls.

The guys toasted to Lobang while the girls jumped on you and asked you question after question. Especially **********ah.

Turning around, Lobang winked at you. You blushed and grinned at him. Looks like you two would have to find quiet time later.....

He's Not Worth It (Tosh)

P.S. ~~~~~ah= your name ^_^

“Agh...” you muffle a scream.

You were doing it once again. Dragging a knife across your wrist. You had tried to stop this habit time and time again but the pain you felt everyday was killing you. You felt that you had no choice but to result to this.

You were cutting yourself again. You couldn’t take the fact that your boyfriend was actually cheating on you. He was more than your boyfriend actually. He had actually proposed to you! Then you found out that he, already had a wife.

The blood from your wrist flowed out freely, before staining your clothes. You stood up, trembling. The room spun crazily around you. Everything was a blur. It felt like everything inside you was going to kill you. You couldn’t bear the pain. Letting tears flow freely down your face, you blacked out.

Your apartment was dark by the time you regained consciousness. How long were you asleep? You couldn’t give a damn. You sat up groaning. A sharp pain hit the back of your head. Your face was stiff with tears and your wrist stiff with dried blood. You stumbled to your room. The pain was worse than a mere hangover. You lunged into the bathroom and hurled whatever you had in your stomach into the toilet. But you had been practically starving yourself the past days so there was barely anything that came out, except for some saliva but that was all. You undressed and went into the shower, drenching yourself in cold water. The water made your wrist smart like crazy but you didn’t care.

You got out and towelled yourself roughly, before going to your wardrobe. You absent-mindedly pulled on your jeans and a white long-sleeved top. You had to cover your wounds somehow right? You dragged a brush through your hair and looked at yourself in the mirror. Normally you looked good whatever you wore. But now, you had dark circles under your bloodshot eyes and your skin was dry and scaly. You looked a mess. But at this stage in time, did you care?

You took your bag and was about to go for a walk when you realised. HE bought you that bag. HE gave it to you. You dropped it on the floor with disgust before grabbing your old bag. The one your friend from England, Tammy, had given you. You picked up the bag HE had given you and dropped it carelessly inside the bag. Then you left your apartment. Seriously. It was waaay past 1AM. How many people would actually SEE you?

You walked all the way until you reached East Coast Park. You were at Sector B, where few people went to. You took out the bag HE gave you and tossed it on the sand. You dropped tiredly on your knees and began to cry. You let out a shriek that could send birds flying. Pulling the knife out of the bag Tammy gave you and taking a deep breath, you dragged it up your leg and muffled a scream.

“Hey!”

You spun around in shock. You didn’t think anyone would be here at 2AM.

“What are you doing?”

In the darkness you couldn’t make out who it was. You could see a tall male figure with a mohawk but that was all. He approached you slowly. You pulled out the knife and pointed it at him.

“I’m warning you buddy. Touch me and I will kill you. I HAVE A KNIFE.” You mumbled in fear.

“Woah. I don’t want to hurt you. Are you alright ma’am?”

“Who are you?”

“Tosh..?”

Tosh... Tosh... Why did it sound so familiar?

“Tosh..?”

“Ya.”

Why did his name ring a bell in your head. The clouds cleared and in the moonlight you could dimly see his face.

It was Tosh Zhang. The annoying dude in your class. You used to go to tuition with him. He annoyed you every class. Tosh Zhang.

“Woah... ~~~~~ah..?” Tosh gaped.

“I don’t know you!” You scream, turning around and covering your face.

“~~~~~ah? Is that you?”

You dropped to your knees. You didn’t want him to see you. He had to go away. “Get lost.” you growl.

“~~~~~ah? What’s the matter?”

“GET LOST TOSH. GO GET A LIFE INSTEAD OF BOTHERING ME. WHY DON’T YOU?”

“Look I ain’t moving this ass. I’m sitting right here until you tell me what the f*ck is wrong.”

He sat next to you and tilted your face to meet his eyes. It really was Tosh. Who knew he had a nice side?

The next thing you knew, you were pouring everything out to him. He sat there silently while you wailed on.

“That’s the bag that bi*ch gave me.” You said softly, pointing at the bag which was floating on the waves that reached the shore. It was slowly being carried off.

Tosh stood up and went to the bag. Then he picked it up and hurled it across the water, so far that you couldn’t see it anymore.

“I want you. To make him disappear like that bag. That faggot doesn’t deserve you.”

Then he tried to help you up by holding your wrist.

“F*CK.” You scream.

Tosh had accidentally pressed on your cuts. You scared the hell out of him when you screamed. He immediately pulled you until you were standing and rolled up your sleeves.

“Wha.........”

You blush and pull your arms away, rolling back the sleeves then turning away.

“I... I have to go. Thanks.” You whisper hoarsely.

“Wait. I’ll give you a lift.”

“No need.”

“I don’t give a damn. I’m going to see you home and that’s final.”

You crack a small smile. Half an hour later you were back home. You looked up at the clock. It showed 4AM. Woah. Then you yawned.

Tosh helped you into your bed. The moment your head touched the pillow, you fell asleep. But just before you did, you heard Tosh say, “He’s not worth it. Just remember that.”

The next morning, when you woke up, pasted on your wardrobe in front of your bed was a piece of post-it note. You squinted at it.

“JUST REMEMBER. HE’S NOT WORTH IT. LOVE, TOSH,”

A small smile crept onto your face. You pushed a strand of hair away from your face as you crawled to the edge of the bed. The sharp pain at the back of your head had evaporated like a puddle on a hot day. The pain which was killing you had gone. Your wrists were still hurting but you felt nothing. As you pushed yourself up, you felt a scratchy feeling on your wrists. Looking down, you laughed when you realised Tosh had bandaged your wrists while you were sleeping.

You got up and washed yourself. It was a new day, and you were also determined to make it a new chapter, a new book of your life. You were going to start over. And this time, a certain boy with the initials T.Z. was definitely going to be playing a main role in it..........

It was only just a dream... come true? (Joshua)

P.S. ~~~~~ah= your name ^_^

Your face was streaked with tears. As was Joshua’s. You were in Melbourne for your holidays by yourself, when you met the Singapore actor, Joshua Tan.

“I don’t want to go... I’ll miss you...” you sobbed hard, burying your face in his chest.

“I know. I’ll miss you too...” He whispered back, choking on the tears.

“Oh Joshua...” You cried even harder. In fact, you had already cried so much that your eyes were dry.

The past few days were magical. You two had gone to the park, baked bread, gone swimming... It killed you to have to leave the Heaven Joshua had created with you...

“Oh my God. I am so sorry...” A young man said, hurriedly grabbing the Starbucks cup.

He quickly grabbed a bunch of napkins whilst you struggled out of your spring jacket. Despite it being summer, you decided to play a little fashionista and wear your spring jacket. You were walking into Starbucks when you bumped into an Asian man. The drink in his hand had spilled and splashed onto your jacket.

“Here...” He said, taking your jacket and dabbing at it with napkins. Your creme pants were fine. So was your army-print camo tank top. It was just the jacket thankfully.

“It’s ok... I don’t actually need it...” You laugh nervously.

He looked up at you. His eyes were a deep brown, hair short and a mole above his right eyebrow. A flash of recognition hit you but you couldn’t quite place who.....

“I’m seriously sorry.” he repeated again.

“Sir, it’s alright. Hey. You aren’t local are you?” you asked.

He shook his head. “Nope! I’m from Singapore!”

“Singapore? I’m from Singapore too! Oh wow. Coincidence!”

You both laughed.

“I’m really sorry about your jacket. Why don’t I wash it for you? I can return it tomorrow.”

You considered this option.

“Alright. What’s your number and address? I can collect it.”

He wrote his number on a slip of paper along with his address. You in return gave him your hotel room number. After which, you agreed to meet at Starbucks the next morning.

The next morning, sure enough, you found him sitting at one of the tables outside, your jacket in a paper bag.

“Hey!” he said, getting up.

You smiled and sat in the seat he’d pulled out for you.

“I’m still sorry about your jacket,” he said, sitting down.

“It’s fine. Seriously! No permanent harm or damage whatsoever! Except I’ll be smelling of lovely coffee~”

Both of you started chatting. You talked about everything under the sun. After one and a half hours, both of you got a bit restless but neither wanted to say goodbye.

“How about a walk along the river?” Joshua asked.

“Sure!”

Both of you strolled along the river, laughing as you went. The scent of flowers surrounded you two and the grass tickled your feet. Both of you spent the entire day together, just getting to know each other. After the sun had set, Joshua walked you to your hotel and said goodnight.

You spent days together. And one week after the events, Joshua asked you to be his girl. You chewed your lip, contemplating for like, 2 seconds? Before you laughed a yes out. Joshua hugged you and spun you around in the air.

For the entire holiday, you spent your time with Joshua. You met his friends and even went for a bonfire at the beach with Joshua and his mates.

You remembered how the air was dense with bonfire smoke and you and Joshua had escaped to the edge of the water where you splashed each other with salt water. Joshua showed you how to play with skipping stones, the exact angle to throw them so that they would skip across the water.

Another night, you Skyped your family back home. Your big brother immediately got protective, asking Joshua questions. Joshua was nervous at first but gradually warmed up and was very polite and friendly towards them. But after you cut the call, Joshua heaved a sigh of relief.

“Phew! Your brother really loves you huh?”

You laughed and nodded, ruffling his short hair.

“But not as much as I love you,” You whispered, kissing him.

You both tried to ignore the fact that it was nearing the time for you to return home. But the nearer it got, the harder it became to ignore.

On the last night you spent together, Joshua tried his best to make it memorable. You baked bread together, went for a picnic in a park, went fishing and had a movie marathon at night, lasting until 3 in the morning.

You slept together, Joshua’s arms tight around your waist as if never wanting to let go. In the morning when you woke, the sun was shining through the window and made Joshua’s sleeping figure seem to glow. You were still pressed against his chest and you could softly hear his heartbeat.

“Psst... Joshua... Baby... Wake up...” You whisper, wriggling a little higher and kissing his cheek.

Joshua’s eyes cracked open and he smiled. After both of you had washed up and changed out of your pajamas, Joshua took you to the Starbucks you met at.

“This is where we met. I promise to come here everyday.” Joshua whispered into your ear.

You hugged him and both of you got a seat. Joshua helped you to order your food. In the meantime, you took out a book and started reading. All of a sudden, you saw a bright flash of light from the corner of your eye.

“Wtf?!” You exclaimed, jumping up.

You looked to see Joshua grinning at you.

“JOSHUA!” You laughed, swatting at him.

“What? Well it was a pretty scene... You looked very serene and peaceful while reading. Definite new wallpaper” He chuckled, sitting down.

As the day progressed, a lump formed in your throat. Time just flew by and soon you were both silent and standing at the departure gates.

“I know... I’ll miss you too...~~~~~ah...”

You both clutched each other tightly.

“I promise to call you every single day. No matter what’s the cost. I can Skype you, call you, email you, text you, whatsapp you...”

“Miss..?” The guard called me.

“You have to go,” Joshua choked.

“I don’t want to...”

“Miss.”

“Good bye...”

“Miss?”

“Miss?!”

“Excuse me Miss!”

“WHAT?!” You screamed, sitting right up.

The other passengers were staring at you. You blushed.

“We’re reaching Melbourne soon. Please return your seat to the upright position.” The air stewardess said.

You nodded your head. So it had all been a dream. A heartbreaking dream. In the few hours you had the weirdest dream in your life. You groaned, slapping your self. Your fingers brushed against a wet cheek. So you really had been crying. You sighed.

After the plane had touched down and you collected your baggage, you stepped out. The crisp Melbourne air hit you. The air was pure and beautiful. It was so fresh. You called a cab and went to your hotel. After checking in, you decided to go for a walk.

You went to the lobby and spoke to the lady at the help desk.

“Excuse me miss. Could you tell me the nearest place I could get a good cup of coffee?”

“Sure. Just take a walk down the road and turn right. Walk about 2 blocks and you’ll find Starbucks. Best cuppa I’ve ever drank!” She replied in her thick Australian Accent. <A/N: Aussie ‘slang’ for cup of coffee (I think. Maybe it’s tea *shrugs*) is a Cuppa>

“Kay! Thanks!”

You followed her instructions and got to the Starbucks. You pushed open the door and almost immediately collided with a man about to walk out. His coffee spilt on your jacket.

““Oh my God.

“Joshua..?” You whisper. “Joshua... Tan..?”

Basketball Is Just My Thang! (Tosh)

P.S. <A/N ~~~~~ah= your name ^_^>

You are in the same Secondary school as Tosh. Let’s just say girls aren’t allowed to join basketball. But you managed to convince the teacher in charge to let you join and try out. You’re the only girl. You always loved basketball and as long as you could play it, you didn’t really give a damn that you wouldn’t be able to take part in any competition.

You changed out of your uniform and into your PE attire. It was your first basketball practice with the team. You wanted to get there early to do a little warm up before practise started.

Leaving your school bag in class, you jogged to the basketball court carrying your own basketball brought from home. You sprinted a few laps and stretched, your usual exercise, before beginning to do ball exercises. You dribbled the ball around the court, did different throws with the ball. A few of the basketball guys were starting to fall in slowly. You ignored them as you practiced throwing the ball into the hoop.

Some of the guys ignored you, getting on with their own warm ups. But most of them watched as you threw. Out of the corner of your eye, you quickly checked out the guys.

‘Ew... Gross... Hm... He’s ok but not my type... WOAH. DAMMIT. HE'S F*CKING HOT!!!" You thought to yourself.

One of the boys who was watching you had caught your eye. He looked so cute as he drank from a bottle of water, especially his mole. You tried to ignore him and continue practicing. You were glad that you had caught the attention of at least a guy who was hot crush material.

“OK! Five more minutes before we start!” The coach shouted, blowing his whistle.

You saw the ‘hot guy’ turn away from you and walk off after the coach made the announcement.

‘Dammit!’ You thought. ‘Just when I thought I had his attention!’

Suddenly you felt yourself trip over something.

“F*CK!” You shrieked.

You felt yourself falling before hitting the hot ground.

“I am so sorry!” a voice said.

“It’s ugh. Screw you. It’s ok.” You muttered, standing up and straightening yourself.
Looking up at your tripper, you realised with extreme shock, that it was the ‘hot guy’. You gulped.

“I am truly sorry. Hey. Are you the new girl on the team?” He asked.

Your mouth seemed to have gone dry. Opening your mouth, you muttered, “It’s ok. Yea. I’m ~~~~~ah! You?”

“Hey! I’m Tosh,” he replied.

The coach blew the whistle. All of you quickly fell in and did warm ups. After hours of practice and dribbling and running and sprinting, the coach gathered all of you to give a debrief.

“Well, I am quite pleased with today’s performance. And some of you boys, have a LOT to learn from ~~~~~ah. Yes, she’s a girl and she is new. But she plays better than some of you guniangs! That is all. Thank you boys and girl!”

The bunch of you dispersed. You went to get your water bottle and took a long swig of your drink. Tosh came up to you.

“Hey! Nice moves out there! You're really good!”

“Thanks! You too.”

“Sorry about just now...”

“Ha. It's okay. No biggy. I don't even a scratch!”
Tosh’s friends wolf whistled at the two of you. “WA LIAO. TOSH. HITTING ON THE NEW GIRL ALREADY IS IT?”

“GO DIE LAH! F*CK YOU! LOL!” Tosh yelled back.

You blushed slightly but glared at them. Both of you walked to your class.

“Hang on. I want to change my shirt. I can’t stand reeking of sweat!” You said, before walking to the toilets.

Tosh just stripped and pulled over a new shirt. You changed out and sprayed yourself with deodorant.

By the time both of you finished changing and were ready to leave, you had already gotten to know a bit about each other.

“Taking the bus?” You asked.

Tosh nodded. You walked together and talked about everything under the sun.

“When I saw you at the court, my first thought was: WHAT DA F*CK? A girl playing basketball?”

“Well what can I say?” You cheekily replied. “Basketball is just my thang!”

The Perfect Fall (Joshua)

"Vassup!" I heard my bestie Joshua call behind me.

I turned and grinned. His short hair was blowing in the Aussie fall wind and he was grinning from ear to ear.

"Ello!" I returned.

Joshua and I have been friends for ages. We know all about each other. He knew all my deepest fears, all my secrets just as well as I knew his. We were inseperable. When he came up to me, he greeted me with our usual complicated secret friendship handshake.

Joshua tousled my hair, knowing I hated it. I squinted at him and laughed. When he wasn't looking, I got my revenge by jumping on his back.

"YEE HAR!" I screamed.

"You don't know what you just got yourself into." He said before darting off.

He piggybacked me all the way to the park before dropping me in front of the tyre swing.

"Fancy a swing love?" he asked sweetly.

I nodded and sat down. Joshua started pushing me. Back and forth. Back and forth. I laughed, my hair flying in the cool breeze.

Joshua watched me as I swung higher and higher.

"What do you see up there?" he called.

"I see London! I see Paris! I see Ireland!" I replied, shrieking with laughter.

Both of us laughed. I was laughing so hard, I didn't notice I wasn't holding on properly. Before long, I couldn't feel the seat anymore.

"AHHHH!!!" my scream echoed through the empty park, as I felt myself falling... falling... falling...

"GOTCHA'!" Joshua shouted, as I landed in his arms.

Sadly he didn't have a good grip. He caught me for a second before dropping me on the ground.

"Seriously?" I asked sarcastically. "Thanks anyway Josh..."

Feeling playful, Joshua knelt beside me and started tickling me. I squealed and rolled away.

"Stop! STOP! STAHP!!!" I laughed.

"What must you say?" he asked, laughing while continuing to tickle me to his hearts content.

"PLEASE!!!"
"Nope."

"PLEASE JOSHUA!! STOP T-T-T-TICKLING ME!" My stomach was beginning to hurt real bad.

"Wrong."

"Then? Oh great, marvelous, strong, handsome Joshua! I beg you! Stop tickling me!"

"Hmmm... Almost. But nope."

"TELL ME!!!" I squealed.

He stopped, sat bolt upright and looked at me. He seemed deep in thought for a second. Then he shook his head and helped me up.

"What just happened?" I asked.

"Dunno..."

We looked at each other and laughed. Cause we were Just. That. Crazy.

We walked along the path of the park till we reached the lake. The "park" was more like a small forest than a park. It was mainly trees and had no main path. Therefore no one really came here.

Joshua climbed up our tree and helped me up. We called the tree ours cuz it was our favorite tree. It was our little hideout. The furthest branch hung out over the lake and it was sturdy enough for both of us to sit on it and dip our toes in the water. We had carved at the side of the tree: Joshua and ~~~~~ah property!

"Careful..." Joshua said, pulling me up.

He edged over to the branch and helped me over. We sat and looked over the silver water.

"Are you free tonight?" Joshua asked.

"Sure why?"

"Come over to my place for dinner?"

"Definitely!"

We sat there the rest of the afternoon, chatting, playing, singing and basically larking about.

Just before sunset, Joshua walked me home. When we reached my gate, we hugged each other and I went into the house.

I climbed up to my room and rummaged through my closet. I pulled out my favorite light navy blue denim jeans, my white Gap singlet with dark pink, or rather rouge, stripes and lastly my dark brown leather jacket.

I went into my bathroom and took a bath, rinsing off all the dirt from the park. Then I got dressed, applied some light blusher and went to pull on my boots.

"Mom! I'm going to Joshua’s house for dinner!"

"You know the curfew! Be back by 10pm latest!"

I dragged on my black boots. It was a rather chilly fall night. Rather unusual. I got my bike out from the garage. I was too lazy to walk anyway.

I pedaled to Joshua’s house and dismounted my bike at the gate. I unlatched the gate. The moment I wheeled my bike through the gate, a strong scent of fresh roses hit me. Next thing I knew, I was surrounded by lights.

The lights were on the ground. It was a rainbow of colours. Red roses were surrounding the lights. It was such a beautiful sight. I gasped when I saw the words spelt by the lights and roses.

WILL YOU BE MINE? I LOVE YOU

The door flung open and there stood Joshua grinning.

"So..?" he asked awkwardly.

"DEFINITELY!" I laughed, running up to him and hugging him.

He wrapped his arms around my waist before lifting me up above the ground and spinning me around. Everything was well, everything was great. Everything was perfect.
